Yamada Box Legend is nesting on a nanoscale

Yamada Box Legend from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute students Thomas Astle, Justin Burdick, Ben Esposito, Yuliy Vigdorchik, Russel Honor and Allie Johnston takes users through the concentric worlds inside a nesting series of magical cardboard boxes. Think matryoshka dolls but smaller and not boxes.

It explores the idea that what you do at the microscopic level, and in one of these nanoscale worlds, can have huge effects on the macro world,” states Ben Chang.

Yamada Box Legend is on of 20 student-designed games competing for cash prizes at GameFest 2011.

What do you think of nanoscience? Is smaller really better, even in games?
