Heathyr Hoffman and the Arizona Research & Mediumship Society

An original cast member of the SyFy Channel’s  Ghost Hunters Academy and a life long spiritworker, Hoffman brings both science and metaphysical skills to the investigation of paranormal activity. Like a modern-day Sherlock Holmes, this skeptical medium looks for all possible explanations of reported haunts seeking to balance the spiritual and scientific aspects of investigating unexplained phenomena.

Hoffman, a Phoenix resident, founded to Arizona Research & Mediumship Society, or ARMS, that strives to bring openness and objectivity to paranormal investigations. Members are a diverse group, ranging from mediums to skeptics and everywhere in between.

This is the only panel for Hoffman and ARMS, both of whom are appearing at the Phoenix Comic Con on Saturday only.

Max Brooks, Zombie Historian and Expert

The talented son of film icons Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft, Max Brooks is the authority on zombies. The author of The Zombie Survival Guide and The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks, Brooks is in the vanguard of voices warning the world about the risks posed by zombies as well as teaching people how to survive the zombie apocalypse when it comes.

Brooks is also the author of World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War, detailing the war between humanity and zombies. A film, based on the book and starring Brad Pitt, is scheduled for release in 2014.

This is Brooks only panel at the Phoenix Comic Con.
