A Night at Twistwick Manor is a creepy distraction

A Night at Twistwyck Manor, designed by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute  students Shelia Porter, Josh Elliot, Jesse Natalie, Kevin Todisco and Erin McQuade, revolves around a boy dared to spend the night in a haunted house.

“It’s very creepy game that does some really fascinating things that mess with your sense of space and reality,” according to Ben Chang. “It’s a terrific puzzle-solving game.”

The last part is definitely true although we would really like to see it on a mobile platform rather than computer-based. The blocky graphics and choppy movements (which admittedly were also our fault, we’re out of practice with keyboard movement control) would be much less distracting on a small screen.

A Night at Twistwyck Manor is one of 20 student developed games competing for cash prizes today at GameFest 2011.
